Are You Ready For Interviews?

No matter how many times you have sat for job  interviews, just like an exam, your heart will leap and you will begin feeling that  fear or what is commonly referred to as butterflies in your stomach.

Prior  interview preparation is vital in job interviews. You need to dig up information about the organization. Prepare some questions that you should ask the interviewers, especially about the company, the responsibility of the person in the post you have applied for and how they can lead to the achievement of the company’s goal and objectives.

It is important that you keep time. You have to spare some time and reach there, at least 10 minutes to the appointed time, not again 1 hour or 30 minutes before the job interviews. A responsible person is supposed to keep time.

In most interviews, common questions such as: Talk about your strengths and weaknesses, why did you apply for the job in this organization? Why should you be considered and not the other applicant? You should show the interviewers that you know your self by telling them your strengths and the weaknesses. This shows that you know who you are and you are worth.

Mind your appearance before the interviewers. You are supposed to dress decently. This shows that you are an organized person. Don’t appear in jeans and T-shirts for an interview. Show your interviewers that you know something about the dressing code.

Make your academic documents your formal friends who will always accompany you to the place of  interviews. Most employers wish to verify the academic papers attached to your application.

Making a follow-up after an interview is not an abomination. You should always get or and keep a contact number which you can call to inquire about the outcome of the interviews.

However, never give up simply because you have not been shortlisted for the 1st or 2nd job interviews. You never know where God has prepared for you. A place of work is like a place of burial. You can never tell where you will buried until the day you are buried.    You should therefore grab every chance you have and always make sure that you make good use of it.
